...will break your bones, and so does jumping on the bed.
We spent the evening last night in the ER with Claire after her limb got wedged between her mattress and her footboard. The theme for our family is “when it rains it pours”. I am not a fan of “it comes in threes”. I don’t think I can handle another broken bone in this house.
We will be pampering this little girl for the next few weeks. Even Brad has catered her every need. He is very concerned for his little sisters well being. He gave Claire his banana chair to use while she is immobile. It has the perfect curve for her leg to be comfortable to sit. I was eavesdropping on Brad and Claire’s conversation tonight and I caught Brad giving Claire fracture advice and tips. He gave her tips on how to scratch the itches under the cast. He also warned her of the terrible dry skin she will have after the cast is removed. It was really sweet.
Any suggestions on how to keep her entertained would be great. She hates getting help from ANYONE!! Her favorite phrase this month has been “I do it!”. She doesn’t appreciate depending on us completely. She would rather drag herself around with her arms than be carried around.
On the bright side...
1- At least it is not summer.
2- I am glad it is not Randy that broke a bone (go make that money honey)
3- We are close to meeting our deducible and it is only February

HOLY CRAP! I am so sorry Jenny! I can't believe this. At least you are done with your set of 3's! IDEAS: Books, movies, playdoh, dolls, ....I am drawing a blank. Good luck and let us know if you need anything at all!
I'm so sorry.... That's got to be hard... an arm I can understand, You can still do things to a degree, but a leg.... I don't even think I could do it, and I understand that I need to stay off of it. Poor thing!! Hope all goes well! We'll be praying for your family.
At least she's such a "happy" girl ;)
Poor little thing! I don't know if she is into Polly Pockets, but that keeps Jade occupied for hour and hours on end and there really isn't much mobility involved?!
I hope she gets better soon and yeah for almost meeting your deductible :)...I think ;0
Jade was wondering if she is getting a PINK cast...apparently that is really important.
Hope all stay well now, talk to you soon.
Jen, the worst part about this accident is Claire is so young, she prabably will jump on her bed again. Remember when I cursed you with a child just like you???? Well.....I think you have one.
Claire, get well soon. And mom and dad . . . GOOD LUCK.
I felt so terrible when I heard the news last night. I seriously almost cried! Well Good Luck! My thoughts and prayers are with you and Claire Bear! Poor Baby!
WOW!!! i was seven before i broke my first bone, then it took me 3 times to learn. good luck with her:)
oh it makes me hurt to see her in that huge cast. Hey way to go with meeting that deductable. Don't you hate that it always comes in threes. Feel free to take a break form it all...no pun intended.
too bad we arn't closer, my girls would love to entertain her:)
Poor Girl,You guys do have bad luck in this area.
I'm so sorry. So you know, our YW offered to help if you needed anything - even if it's just playing with her - so let me know!
We love you guys... I loved reading about Brad. I always wanted an older brother like that :)
Poor girl!!! And of course she has to be so stubborn!! I'm sorry! At least she has Brad to keep her in line!
Oh my goodness, poor kid! Hopefully they're getting the broken bones out of the way early!
Hang in there, Claire too!
Oh my! I saw you on your walk yesterday, but didn't anything when I saw Claire in the wagon. I'm so sorry!
Poor things! All of you! I guess it's good and bad that it's not summer! At least you could go out and sit in the sunshine if it was! But probably easier to keep her confined with all of the snow!
You never cease to amaze me! You're such a Betty Crocker! Those donuts looked so yummy!
Good luck! Hope she heals quickly, and doesn't get too much dry skin!:)
Oh dear! Good luck these next few weeks. We've have yet to have broken bones (knock on wood) but Sam has had his share of therapeutic casts. No fun, especially at bath time.
Dang! That looks seriously painful! I agree--good thing it's not summer. Lots of couch-sitting. Does she have a Leapster yet? (Slightly more educational than a DS, though we love our DS!)
WOW! You do have an eventful life! I hope claire finds a way to enjoy being pampered! i love your "on the bright side" way to put a postive spin on it!
wow! How not fun! I feel so bad for her. It would be hard at that age to be in a leg cast.Best of luck!
Happy Birthday Bradley! I know that this post isn't for that But I wanted to wish you a happy birthday and let you know we were thinking of you today!
Poor thing, but I find it a little funny that in the picture she has a smile while wearing a huge leg cast! She is so cute. Good luck and I hope she feels better.
Wow, if life doesn't keep you busy and building then your kids definitely will make use of all the extra time. Loved the comments Brad gave to Claire. What a good brother.
