Aggies B-ball

The Heaps invited us to see the Women's Basketball game at Utah State.

We sat right under the hoop and the boys loved it. They payed attention to the whole game. They cheered with every score and even distracted the other team while they attempted foul shots.

The girls on the other hand were more interested in dancing, visiting, giggling, and watching "Big Blue" the mascot. (Or big buffalo as Claire put it)

Brad's Jazz Games

Brad had his first county rec. basketball game on Saturday. He calls them his Jazz games. He plays on a team with several of the kids in our ward.

He has been spending a lot of time practicing at the church with his dad. I was proud of him for paying attention. All that practice translated into his game. He did a great job with defense. He was the only one on his team to receive fouls. In fact he received 2 of them. On the way home he said "It's okay that I got 2 fouls as long as I don't get 5 of them."

There is a little mouse in my house

Claire has been my sidekick in the kitchen for the last few months. The second I start making something in the kitchen she pushes a chair over and asks for her apron. She loves to help cook.

I have been experimenting with different bread recipes lately. I have yet to find one that I LOVE. So we will just keep on experimenting.

One minute my bread looked like this.....

The next minute it looked like this....
Apparently Claire needed to taste test every loaf.

Christmas Day

We went to my parents house for Christmas breakfast. My mom has made Christmas breakfast for as long as I can remember. It was fun hanging out with my family. This is the last year we will be going to SLC for Christmas day so I tried as best I could to soak up all the fun. We decided we needed to be home on Christmas morning for our kids.

This is my sweet Grandma Reimann. She has joined us for Christmas breakfast too since I was really little. It was good to have her there. My grandpa is still really sick and couldn't make it. We missed him a lot.

My mom made all the grand kids new blankets and PJ's. Claire has been dragging her new cupcake blanket everywhere. She loves it.
Right before we headed home for the night we threw the kids in the tub and put them in their new PJ's so I could put them straight to bed after the long drive. Corbin shared his new pretend shaving kit with Claire. They got a kick out of it. I was laughing pretty hard.

We spent the day eating playing games and relaxing. The kids had a riot running around with their cousins. Poor Brad had a fever and wasn't feeling hot so he spent most of the day watching movies in Grandma Moose's bed. The drive home was long and the kids were worn out.

The next day we spent playing ALL day with the kids and their new toys. Since we were in SL for the Holiday they didn't get a chance to get out their toys and play. This sounds so cheesy but it brought me so much joy to sit and watch my kids play all day. I wish every day could be spent like that.

Christmas Eve

We spent Christmas Eve with the Fischers. For the last couple of years we have gone bowling. It must be getting pretty popular. In years past we were the only ones at the bowling alley but this year the place was packed.
Tim-Lance-Randy- and Matt acting like goofballs.

This year Brad didn't need to use the ball ramp. He was pretty excited.

Matt and Tori
Brad beat most the people in his lane. He was quite the expert bowler.

Claire and Aunt Kamie

I LOVE these girls. I am so lucky to have such fabulous sisters- in- law.

Brad was in the car a few weeks ago and asked Randy what a nickname was. Randy answered and Brad sat in the back of the car silent for a few minutes. He then said " I know dad, you can just call me thunder". His self proclaimed nickname has stuck for several weeks.

Lance and Kendra

After Bowling we went back to Randy's parents house for dinner.

Claire got a huge kick out of Nanny's sugar plumb tree.

After dinner we exchanged gifts and the kids played with their new toys.

Christmas Decorating

Nothing puts me in the Christmas spirit better than putting up my decorations. I love to sit and enjoy the Christmas Tree.

Randy and I have cut down a fresh Christmas tree since the first year we were married. It has been a fun tradition we have really enjoyed. This year we were forced to do it a little different. Winter came a bit early this year and Northern Utah was plastered with a lot of snow. We did attempt to go out and cut down a fresh tree but came out unsuccessful. After an hour of trudging through waist deep snow with 2 little kids and not getting anywhere we decided our efforts were futile. We packed up and came home empty handed. We drove to Logan hoping to at least find a lot tree. Luckily we came across this little gem. It looked just like the small Charlie Brown trees we usually cut down on our own. Next year we will have to get our tree in October before the snow flies.

I found this little treasure while Randy and I were in Germany. He reminds me of the smell of bakeries and cobblestone paths. One day I want to go to Europe during Christmas. Can you imagine the bakeries during Christmas.

The spirit of Giving

This year we let Brad and Claire buy wrap and give gifts to each other. Claire was so excited to go shopping for Bradley. She put about 10 bows on the top, put the gift under the tree, then told brad what was inside the second he got home from school. Brad was a good sport and pretended like he didn't know what it was on Christmas morning.

I promise I didn't make him do it

Claire got a new Tutu for her birthday. Brad felt a bit left out and I caught him dancing around with Claire. Brad laughed, jumped around, and acted goofy for a few minutes.

After a few minutes of dancing they both got distracted and started watching a movie. About an hour later our neighbors the Brown's came to the door to deliver Christmas goodies. Brad forgot he was still wearing a Tutu when he answered the door. Once he realized he was still wearing the tutu he turned BRIGHT RED and just started giggling. Our neighbors got a good laugh at my little Sugar Plumb Fairy.
