While we were in Ogden a micro burst reeked havoc on our little city of Richmond. As we were driving home we got several phone calls from our neighbors informing us that our trampoline had flipped up in the air smashed the fence in the back then landed in the neighbors yard kitty-corner to us.
This is what we saw when we got home. Goodbye trampoline....
Our neighbors trampoline landed on the roof of another neighbor...
My garden got hit pretty hard. Half of the corn got knocked over. To be honest I was more upset about the corn than the tramp.
The wind went though my neighbors window and pulled the hinges right off their bedroom door.
It ripped our neighbors garage door apart.
A smashed dog kennel.
Luckily our chairs got caught in our rocks or I am sure they would be dispensed throughout the neighborhood.
Trees were down everywhere. We jumped on the golf cart to see if anyone needed any help and the streets were lined with branches and trees.
The power was out for a couple of hours.
Luckily no one was injured or hurt. I was impressed that everyone pitched in right away to help get the mess cleaned up in a hurry. We had a group of about ten people helping us get our trampoline taken care of.
I feel so blessed that we were not home when it happened. It came on really fast with no warning during dinner time. I usually send the kids outside on the tramp while I am cooking. They could have really been hurt.

Visit to Ogden
For family night we took the kids to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden. It was interesting to see the difference in my kids. Brad loved looking at all the building and technical stuff while Claire loved all the dress ups.
After the Museum we took them to see the trains at the Ogden station. This brings back a lot of memories from my childhood. My grandpa Reimann was a nut for trains. He took us to see train shows all the time.

Cache Valley Rodeo- Muttin Bustin
We registered Brad for Muttin Bustin in the Rodeo this year. Last year he begged us to let him do it. We invited all who wanted to see him compete. Even Grandpa Great came to see him.
Before we went to the Rodeo we went to Chili's to get some grub. We had a lot of laughes as usual.
Brad was super excited to ride a sheep. Once we got down there the nerves kicked in. We didn't get any pictures because it was too far away and it went way too fast. The kid that went first got totally trampled and was bawling and crying. Then the cowboy grabbed brad and threw him on the sheep. He rode for about 5 feet then jumped off as fast as he could. He still got a trophy for trying and got pretty excited. As we walked back to the stands he got a lot of cheers from the crowd. He was so proud. It was cute. We asked him if he wanted to try again next year and he said "NO WAY!!". When I put him to bed that night I asked him again and he said "Ya...Maybe."

Swimming lessons
The kids successfully completed their swimming lessons this year. Since Claire is only 2 years old they had her in the mom and tot class. Most of you know Claire is a natural fish in the water. They quickly advanced her to swim with the 5 year olds. They could see that the tot class was a waste of time for her. She loved it.
Brad did really well too. He has been swimming in a life jacket his whole life. It is hard for him to get used to swimming without one. I now feel confidant that if he ever fell into water he could keep himself afloat to save his life. I have always been terrified that he would drown without a jacket.
Their favorite part of swimming was the last 15 minutes where they had free time and they could jump off the diving board.
I am so proud of them.
