Salt Lake Trip

Last week I took the kids to Salt Lake for a few days while Randy was at Scout Camp.

I met my good friends Annie and Katie for lunch on Wed. I grew up with these 2 amazing women and I love them dearly. Annie just bought a new house. It was fun to see it. It has an amazing backyard.

On Wed night I went to dinner with my mom at the cheesecake factory. We shared a slice of yummy blueberry cheesecake.

Yummy!!! Nuff said!!!

Then we went to see the Broadway musical WICKED!!!! Tori got us tickets almost a year ago. It was worth the wait and the money. It was wonderful. I was grinning from ear to ear and giddy like a little girl.

The music, acting, lighting, props, and costumes were over the top amazing. It makes me want to go to New York really bad.

Steve and Kari were nice and took my kids for me while I played. They took them to the Cottonwood Heights splash pad. Then they got to sleep over at their house.

On Thursday we surprised Nanny in the hospital with lunch and 3 noisy kiddos. Papa helped us keep it a secret. It was good to see her getting better and getting used to her knee.

The kids loved the all you could drink juice and the remote control bed. I wish I had recorded them laughing as they pushed a button and sent Nanny clear up to the ceiling then back down to the ground. It was pretty funny.

Thursday night we went to Su Casa with Grandma and Grandpa Moose, Steve and Kari, and Julie. It was a good thing they put us in a quiet corner because the kids were wound up. They got to sit with Uncle Steven.

Waiting to be seated making faces at Uncle Steven.

Thursday night the girls made a quick detour to the sweet tooth fairy. I got a salted caramel cupcake. It was divine and worth every expensive penny.

On Friday my mom and I took the kids to Lagoon. Brad was big enough to ride the big rides and Claire was still in kiddyland.  Brad was brave and went on EVERYTHING. His favorite ride was wicked. He even made grandma go on it. We tried to stay until it was closed but Claire had had enough. Most of the rides made her sick. She hated all the spinny rides. Her favorite rides were the skyride and the bumper cars.

By Saturday morning we were tired and anxious to get home to see daddy. Both Claire and Harrison had fevers on Saturday. It made for a long commute home.

It was good to spend some time with family.
