There is no such thing as too many sisters!!!

This last Saturday the Fischer girls put together a shower for Randy's little brother Lance and his fiance Kendra. She is a darling girl and perfect for Lance. I am thrilled to claim another sister. And my kids are excited to call her Aunt Kendwa instead of just Kendwa.

Left to Right: Kari, Kami, Jen, Myrna, Tori and Kendra

We did crepes and all kinds of toppings. It turned out darling.

A special thanks to Uncle Matt for taking the kids to Cabella's so I could actually enjoy the shower. And a special thanks to Tori for the pics I stole from her blog.

Summer weather preview

We had to take advantage of the 80 degree weather last week and play out front at Nanny and Papa's house. Claire was obsessed with the dog water. I don't know who got more wet Claire or Wilson.

Brad starts T-Ball in June so he has been practicing his swing. This summer weather needs to stay!!!!

I had to do it!!!

I was going through Nanny and Papa's camera and found this....

...I had to post it.

POST OVERLOAD!!!

Sorry about the multiple posts in a row...but I have been lacking in free time. When I find a little time to myself I have to take full advantage. It was so nice today to spend some time catching up on all your posts. I love to read and hear about your lives.

I think Claire is rubbing off on her Uncle Steven

BRAD-isms

-The other day we were watching Veggie Tales. (A cute animated show that teaches good values with humor) The story was about a little girl who had a pet FIB. Whenever she lied the fib would grow bigger and bigger until it was a huge monster. I turned to Brad and said, “See Brad when you lie it becomes a big monster!” He replied “Nope…I lie ALL the time and that monster NEVER shows up.”

-Dad will you please come and hog the toilet. (Unclog the toilet)

-Mom I just twisted my wrinkle. (Twisted my ankle)

-I love to eat Hock Dogs. (Hot dogs)

-Brad and I were walking into the house the other day and passed a man in the stairwell. He was smoking a cigarette. As soon as we passed him Brad YELLED, "that man is smoking...he is going to DIE, huh mom?" I could not get him into the house fast enough.

A mental sick day

Since we have been running and running and running our bodies and minds are exhausted. We took a mental health day and did nothing. We slept in until about 8:30 and I fixed eggs Benedict for Breakfast. (YEA!!! no cold cereal) Randy had a lot of studying to do so the kids helped with the laundry...

We ate really good crunchy tuna with sprouts for lunch. (We have been eating a lot of peanut butter and jelly so this was a nice change.)Claire LOVED the sprouts. She ate an entire carton for lunch. She left nothing behind except the one little piece in her hair.

Our new house is starting to feel like our own. We painted the house this last weekend with a TON of help from our family. It looks so much better. Our families are so great and we really can't express how much we appreciate them. I can't wait until the tables turn and we can serve another member of the family. I am sick of always being the needy ones. I am sure people cringe every time they see our name on the caller ID. We have been living in Richmond on the weekends then driving home Sunday night to stay with Steve and Kari during the week. Most of the furniture and boxes are moved. The BIG projects are done. Now we can start making it our home. We are going up again this weekend to do some touch up on the paint. I will post some pics this weekend.

I have fallen in love with our neighborhood. There are a lot of kids on our street Brad's age. He always asks me how many sleeps until he can see his Logan friends. He is going to love it there. I love waking up to birds. I love hearing the cows moo in the distance while we sit on our porch at night. I love hearing tractors in the middle of the day. I love the farmer that sits behind us in Sunday School and relates everything to a harvest or a plant. He also says "you just gotta do what your are suppoda do". I love the people there. They are so kind and excited to welcome us there. I look down the street and see the community that is going to help me raise my children and my heart is at peace that I made the right decision.

How much can you cram into Easter Weekend?

WE DID IT!! We closed on our house and have the key!!! The moving/painting nightmare has begun. Due to the fact that I have not showered or slept in three days all I can manage to post are these really bad pictures from my camera phone of our Easter weekend in our construction site home. We did manage to go to the city park for our first easter egg hunt. (Hopfully a yearly tradition) I love our new little city!!! I will have to tell you all about it. (After I shower of course)

It's about time...

...for an update.

*Our family has been battling illness FOREVER. We just keep passing illness to each other. I was terribly sick this weekend. My sweet Kamie and Tim brought us dinner on Friday night. What angels!!! Kamie took me to an instacare and then laid next to me, watched a girly movie, fed me chocolate and kept me company. Then my mom called me Saturday and offered to help with the kids so I could get some rest. She even let me sleep in her big soft cozy bed while she chased my kids around all day. My mom is the greatest. I wish her mom could have been around for her when she was my age. She would have loved it. There is somthing about my mom's bed that is theraputic. When I was still living at home I would beg her to let me sleep with her any chance I could. I loved it when my dad would go out of town. I am sure it was her bed that made me better and NOT the anibiotics.

*We are still scheduled to close on our house tomorrow. Keep a prayer in you heart and you fingers crossed. My gutts are all tied up in knots from anxiety, fear, excitement and thrill. I hear most people suffer from carpal tunnel after signing all the documents.

*I was offered a new job in Cache Valley. I get to stay in the Operating Room. A lot of stress has been relieved since I found a new job. Randy has had a coulple of interviews. Nothing seems to fit yet. What a crummy job market. We picked a bad time to graduate.

*Claire gives a pretty nasty dirty look. She gave one to Dr. Shakula today when he tried to peek in her ears. She didn't appreciate it at all. If looks could kill...I would have to find a new pediatrician.

* Brad started reading last week. He is so excited. We are so proud of him. I am so excited for him to start kindergarten this fall.

*I have such a great family. I love them very much. I have a wonderful husband who loves and cares for us. We have been blessed so much. Our Heavenly Father has been so mindful of us. Things have just fallen into place and we are so blessed.
