Yesterday marked the first day of Brad’s Birthday week. We commemorate his 5th year of life and welcome his 6th!!! I LOVE this little man.
His breakfast request was blue pancakes. Not blueberry but “just blue ones”. He made me light the candle twice because he had so much fun blowing it out the first time.
Nanny and Pappa sent Brad a talking Optimus Prime birthday card. He was floored that Optimus Prime wished him a happy Birthday. He walked around all morning with the card plastered to his ear.
One of the traditions Randy grew up with was a birthday lunch. His mom and dad would check him out of school and he got to pick the restaurant. I think this tradition is definitely worth carrying on. We asked Brad where he wanted to go (expecting McDiscusting, or some other dirty play land place) but he piped up with “I want to go to Chili’s!!!” This boy is definitely his mother’s child. What class.
During lunch we asked him what his favorite part of being five was and he said. “My birthday”. Then we tried rewording it and asked what the best part of the last year of your life was and he said…”Turning six!”.
One thing I love about kids is their ability to live in the moment. If they are angry or sad about something it is obsolete the next day.
And this is just because… Enjoy…
I can’t ever get enough of this boys smile. Try to look at him without smiling.
You can’t.
This boy has a serious addiction to life. He is a joy to be around. If you have never been around him you are missing out.
We love you Bradley.
