Life

My kids take up 99.9% of my time so naturally I think about them all the time. They make me laugh, frustrate the heck out of me, keep me interested in life, bring me immense joy, make me worried, surprise me with their intelligence, and make me proud. They give me unconditional love, even when I don't deserve it. They have not figured out that parents are not perfect....yet.

We just had parent teacher conference with Brad and his teacher Mr. James. He told us what we all ready knew, Brad is a brainy with LOTS of energy. He excels in reading, comprehension, and math. He also told us that he is extra extra social. Randy laughed...he remembers getting in trouble all the time with citizenship. Like father like son. He set goals to have better handwriting. Mr James said he is always in a hurry to finish so his handwriting suffers. We have been working with him. He has improved but hates to go slow. He has better things to do than handwriting. He REALLY REALLY is just like his dad.

Brad has discovered football. He begs Randy everyday to play. They have been working on buttonhooks, posts, tackling, and a lot of other moves that I have never heard of. A few weeks ago they recruited me to play with. Brad told me I was really bad and the two of them made fun of me. Point taken... I will stick to tea parties with Claire.

Claire is growing up way to fast. She reminds us several times a day that it is almost her birthday and that she will be 3 soon. She is such a ham and loves to get a rise out of people. She is so smart. I wish she was old enough for preschool. She loves to learn, color and point out everything she knows. She is constantly doodling and drawing. Every paper surface in our house has Claire's doodles.

Her new saying is "Right?" She uses it at the end of almost every sentence.
It is time to get up. Right?
You love me mom. Right?
I am going to watch a movie. Right?
It is time for snacks. Right?

Her other new saying is "Oh we did this Saturday night"
Everything she has done more than once she says she did it Saturday night. She has no concept of time so everything in her life happened on Saturday night. It is really cute.

Sometimes I feel like I just need to hit the brakes on life really hard. Life is just flying by. I can't believe how fast it is going. Randy and I just celebrated our Anniversary Tuesday so now we are working on our 10th year together. I am totaly in love with my husband my kids, and my life.
