Happy Memorial Day!

What a great weekend. We usually go camping for Memorial Day weekend, but the weather had something else in mind for us. We ended up staying home and played around the city. Last night Steve, Kari, Tim and Kamie came over for Sunday dinner. After dinner we took a walk over to our bishop’s house. He owns a couple of horses. We fed them some apples and hay. We like to go there on Sunday evenings. Brad wanted his Aunts and Uncles to see the horses.

Today Randy’s mom was so thoughtful and took our kids for a couple of hours so we could go on a much needed date. It was a lot of fun. We went to TGI Fridays and saw Indiana Jones. Since I have been married I have not been in town for Memorial Day, so after we picked up the kids I decided to visit my Grandpa David Gailey and My Grandma Phyllis Gailey’s Grave. They are buried in Syracuse. It was really nice to pay tribute to my Grandparents.

Since we drove to Syracuse we went to our good friend’s house and had a BBQ. Stacey and Simi are such good hosts. The food was really good. First they had to clean out their BBQ from the birds abode. (To see the story go HERE) We had to light a big bonfire. Stacey marinated the best chicken. After dinner we jumped on their trampoline. It was pretty amusing to see a bunch of grown adults play crack the egg.

It was such a nice weekend off from life!!!! Now back to work.

That was fun! And you know those birds have already put a bunch of grass and twigs back in. I had to hurry and put some cardboard over the holes so they could not get in! It was nice to get together!
